Inside Sales/Technical Proposal Writer

Location: Delta, BC

With a recent territory expansion and rapid business growth, Commercial Utility Equipment O/A Commercial Truck Equipment Co. is looking for an individual to expand our capacity to craft proposals and compile bid responses for our Utility division. Reporting to our Project Manager, and working in lockstep with our current Inside Sales Coordinator from our Annacis Island head office, the Inside Sales/Technical Proposal Writer will play a pivotal role in the early project management process, working with vendors and suppliers, our in-house engineering department, sales staff, and the client to compile compliant, safe, competitive, and properly-priced proposals.

The person likely to be successful in this role will have some manner of automotive mechanical knowledge, experience, or background, as well as some experience writing and communicating in a professional business environment. Applicants need not know the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards inside-out, but a basic understanding of truck/heavy equipment welding, fabrication, and assembly would be a great asset.

Truck Equipment Fabricators & Welders

Location: Delta, BC

Fabricate, weld, and install sub-components and parts associated with utility vehicles and truck equipment including following build drawings, determine material measurements and take responsibility for fabricating parts used in the assembly process. Be responsible for the quality of your output, so you must be able to perform tests to ensure weld quality and tolerance and other related tasks.

Truck Equipment Installers & Assemblers

Location: Delta, BC

Install equipment, bodies, components, and systems onto bare truck chassis frames, these are associated with utility vehicles and truck equipment. To complete this work, you are expected to read build diagrams and/or oral and written specifications while troubleshooting and diagnosing problems. Additionally, you would be expected to support activities within the Production department and will be responsible for achieving a high-quality finished build, including final testing of equipment performance.

Install components and systems associated with utility vehicles and truck equipment, including maintenance and repair of truck equipment hydraulic components. To complete this work, you are expected to read blueprints and build diagrams while troubleshooting and diagnosing problems. Additionally, you would be expected to read dials and meters to determine hydraulic and electrical output/input to analyze machine performance.

To complete this work, you are expected to read build diagrams and electrical schematics.
